Canadian Tire Jumpstart
A BIT OF HISTORY....
As Canadian Tire grew so did the focus on helping our communities that keep our aisles busy. In 1992, CTC created The Child Protection Foundation. In in 1999 it became The Foundation for Families which provided a helping hand to families in need ensuring that life's basic necessities were met such as food, shelter and clothing.
In 2005,Canadian Tire Charities was launched to address an issue of national concern...The inactivity of kids. National is its scope, but local in its focus. Today Jumpstart helps the kids of families in financial need to participate in organized sports and physical activities by assisting with registration, equipment and/or transportation.

The vision of Jumpstart is simple...."Canada, where ALL kids have a chance to fulfill their dreams." We are committed to the kids in our local community.
Jumpstart is more than just about getting kids active. It's about giving kids from families in financial need the same opportunity to participate as their neighbours, their classmates and their friends. Whether it's the chance to try a new sport or to continue with a favourite one. No kid should be left out!
